I recently installed solar panels on our roof. One set to heat the water; the other to generate electricity. I am on target to receive £1000 this year from the Feed-In tariff .
YMCA Sovereign Centre
This year I am helping to raise money for the new Centre. In Spring 2011, a new Disability Hub will open in the Centre, providing a purpose built facility for disabled children and young people across East Surrey. The Centre will provide an integrated environment where local disabled children and non-disabled children play alongside each other.
The Hub will have a sensory room, soft play room and adapted outside play area as well as a number of multi-use rooms for sports, cooking and messy play. Here disabled children will be able to enjoy a safe and stimulating environment where they can make friends and gain skills for independence, supported by specially trained staff and volunteers.
Activities will include a Sky Dive, a short Triathlon, a 500 km bike ride and a couple of 26 miles hikes.
