Forges-les-Eaux to Gisors
The next morning we cycled in a damp fog on some minor roads to Gournay. This is where the three-day riders will spend their second night.
In Gournay, we managed to get hopelessly lost in the small town; our confusion was not helped by a street market  which blocked the streets and obscured the street signs. We eventually found the D916 heading out of town when I decided to check the compass - we were heading north instead of south!
Eventually David went into the Tourist office and obtained a detailed map and some instructions.
View of Gisors from the castle
Before heading out in the correct direction, we took time to admire the blue fountain.
There is a long climb out of Gourmay. We had to wait for the return journey to admire it as we were still encased in fog. A long downhill stretch was followed by a run along another river valley. Crossing a ridge took us to another valley which lead into Gisors - our lunch stop.
The small town has an impressive castle and a large church.
