I have variety of roles with in the local community. I am:

• Chair, Woodhatch Community Association, which runs the Woodhatch Centre in partnership with Reigate & banstead Borough Council

• Chair, Reigate Sixth Form College

• Chair, Action for Life, a local charity which runs a Walking for Health Scheme.

I was a Trustee of the Sovereign Youth & Community Centre. Recently we reached an agreement with the local YMCA  to take over  and run the Centre. I am now helping them raise funds to establish a dedicated facility for all children and young people with a focus on those with a disability. More information here.

Previously I was a Non-Executive Director on the Board of the Surrey Sussex Health Care NHS Trust, which runs the local hospital. My term finished on 30th November, 2009.

I was also a Reigate & Banstead Borough Councillor for 31 years and am now an Honorary Freeman of the Borough. More information here. Pictures here.
