I am a member of the Redhill Cycling Club.
In the winter, there are regular club runs on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Most of the rides are designed to finish by 1 pm. I occasionally lead one of the longer rides (about 70 miles) with a stop at a cafe for tea and a snack.
Throughout the year, there are off-road rides on a Saturday morning. In the summer, there are additional rides on Wednesday evenings.
In the summer, I take part in Audax rides. These are not races but rides over fixed routes with control points, often at cafes where you can stop for refreshment. They vary in distance but I limit myself to 100, 150 and 200 km rides.
In summer, 2004, we entertained a party from our twin town of Eschweiler, Germany.
Links to descriptions of some of the tours I have undertaken in France, Belgium, Germany and China can be found on the Leisure front page.

In January 2005, I was given a silver award in the Evans Trailbreak ride around Leith Hill!
Account of the morning is here.
On 4th June, I managed a gold on the ride from their shop near Gatwick.

Routes

Sometimes I lead rides for the Redhill Cycling Club. Many of the routes I use can be found here.

My first bike! Heavy iron frame, single gear. Bought from the local blacksmith. Probably cost all of £2.
